Eagle Ridge's crowning achievement, The General, opened to rave reviews in 1997 - - being voted one of the top 10 golf courses to open in the country. For the 12th year in a row, The General has been ranked in the top 100 golf courses you can play by Golf Digest magazine. There are 250 foot of elevation changes throughout the entire golf course, with spectacular views of three states: Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. The signature hole on The General is hole #14, a par 4 with 180 feet of elevation change from tee to green. When The General opened in 1997, golf carts were restricted to the cart path only. Since then vast improvements have been made to the paths and those restrictions have been lifted. The General is a course for all abilities and is a must to play!
