Unique Ways To Incorporate Nature Into Your Wedding
August 22nd, 2018
Fill-out With Foliage
An easy transition from an outdoor ceremony to an indoor reception is to build-out your space with foliage. From eucalypts leaf-lined walking paths, to flower walls, to elaborate wreaths, and scattered flower petal tablescapes, couples have endless possibilities when it comes to bringing nature indoors.
Plan for Plants
Potted plants and succulents are some of the easiest ways to breath fresh life into your wedding. We’ve seen a variety of potted plants come through our doors...spray roses, dwarf poinciana trees, Alberta spruces, hibiscus and more - each bringing natural beauty and whimsy to ceremonies and receptions. If smaller plants are more your style, try including succulents into your table settings. These subtle little plants are not only affordable, but also come in a variety of shapes and colors that can easily compliment your décor.
Light It Up
Are you a couple that likes looking at nature, but isn’t really into the idea of having lots of plants and flowers at your weeding? No problem! We’ve seen some amazing décor using icicle lights, and dramatic LED, bistro and up lighting to create the illusion of being outdoors and under the stars, without actually being outside.
With selfies and selfie booths being all the rage, why not create a nature-forward backdrop for your guests to take the perfect pictures in front of? Step and repeats aren’t just for celebrities anymore, as we’ve had couples work with our trusted florists to help design a number of unique flower, ivy and boxwood backdrops for their big days.
Floral archways aren’t new to weddings, but floral garland is making a comeback in unique ways. For example, couples are beginning to use floral garland and other unique pieces, such as ornamental pear branches, smilax vines and more to create the illusion of a vertical “garden” growing along a venue’s wall.
