A Letter from our General Manager

Welcome to 2021!  We like everyone are very happy to say goodbye to 2020!  What a year it was and needless to say it was an extremely challenging year for businesses across the country and ours was no exception.  As many of you know, we closed the resort in March of 2020 and re-opened in June of 2020.  We continued to face challenging times as restrictions were lifted and only to be taken back as Covid-19 continued to be a roller coaster ride in our region.

COVID-19 has affected all our lives and will most likely continue to do so in 2021. Like many businesses we continue to work hard in keeping our employees and guests safe as they visit our resort.

During the time our resort was closed from March 13th to June 3rd, our operational staff working from home collaborated with each other and with all departments and has re-designed our operating procedures in accordance with CDC recommendations.  We learned many valuable lessons as we navigated Covid -19 and we continue to monitor and make changes as needed in order to keep you and our staff safe while at our resort.

New policies have been put in place as they relate to cleanliness, food safety, best practices for personal hygiene, and much more.
Our new manual was developed with the number one purpose of protecting our guests, employees and to do our part to limit any potential spread of Covid-19. Some of these measures include but certainly not limited to the following:
  • Continued staff training on new policies, procedures and best practices
  • As part of the uniform, all staff members will wear facemasks
  • Food handlers will also wear facemasks and protective gloves
  • All public areas will continually be disinfected
  • All lodging accommodations will be disinfected using the best equipment including UV lights and foggers using CDC approved sanitizers
  • All office spaces will be thoroughly and continually disinfected and sanitized
  • You will see an increase in hand sanitizers throughout the public areas of the resort
  • Staff who displays any health symptoms, similar to those of COVID-19, will be required to stay home for rest and recovery
  • We will be practicing social distancing in all areas of the resort including check-in
  • We will be following the strict guidelines that our government has put in place.  To review all phases on reopening Illinois please click the link at the end of this letter.
