Unique Ways To Incorporate Nature and Bold Colors Into Your Wedding

February 2020

Just engaged? Congratulations! We’re sure you’re very excited and overwhelmed, and we
understand. However, we’re here to help and want to give you the best wedding ideas and insider
tips we can. So, let’s start with colors and natural surroundings.

We love bringing nature into weddings, but we’ve found that even though couples of the resort
are surrounded by nature, they need a little guidance when it comes to incorporating natural
elements into their big day. That’s why we say, be bold! This month, we’re sharing some unique
ways to incorporate nature and vibrant colors into your wedding!

Fill-out With Foliage
An easy transition from an outdoor ceremony to an indoor reception is to build-out your space
with foliage. From eucalyptus leaf-lined walking paths, to flower walls, to elaborate wreaths, and
scattered flower petal tablescapes, couples have endless possibilities when it comes to bringing
nature indoors.

Plan for Plants
Potted plants and succulents are some of the easiest ways to breathe fresh life into your wedding.
We’ve seen a variety of potted plants come through our doors - spray roses, dwarf poinciana
trees, Alberta spruces, hibiscus and more - each bringing natural beauty and whimsy to
ceremonies and receptions. If smaller plants are more your style, try including succulents into
your table settings. These subtle little plants are not only affordable, but also come in a variety of
shapes and colors that can easily compliment your wedding décor.

Be Bold
We often see couples play it safe with pastels and light colors; but we say, BE BOLD! Nature is
lush and in-bloom during the spring and summer months, and your wedding should be too! Start
by creating a color palette and working bright colors into your theme. For example, if you love
green, start with a turtle green (not soft mint), and build lavender purples, buttercup yellows and
sky blues into your flower arrangements, centerpieces, corsages and boutonnieres, and more.
Playing it safe isn’t the name of the wedding game, bold, bright and authentic are at the center of
2020 wedding trends.

Garden Garland
Floral archways aren’t new to weddings, but floral garland is making a comeback in unique
ways. For example, couples are beginning to use floral garland and other unique pieces, such as
ornamental pear branches, smilax vines and more to create the illusion of a vertical “garden”
growing along a venue’s wall.

How do you want to incorporate nature and bold colors into your wedding? We’d love to learn
about your unique ideas!
