“I had visited Galena before and already loved the charm of the small town, but I hoped Matt would fall in love with it just as much as I had — and he did,” Deanna shared.
When it came time to plan their wedding, returning for a Midwest destination wedding felt natural.
“At first, we didn’t think it would be possible or affordable,” Deanna said. “But the moment we toured Eagle Ridge, we completely fell in love. It was everything we imagined and more.”

The couple chose a fall celebration surrounded by nature, taking advantage of Eagle Ridge’s scenic landscape and views.
One unexpected favorite became the red barn overlooking the golf course.“It gave us a chance to step away from the busy day, enjoy a quiet moment together and simply be present with one another,” Deanna shared.
She also loved taking portraits throughout the property.
“There wasn’t a bad location anywhere on site,” she said. “It was hard to choose because there were so many beautiful options.”
